Whenever you turn up, there will be someone to register you and welcome you to the
event. You just need to give your name.
We will be taking over Kommunity for the weekend, which is in central Newcastle.
Some classes, and all parties, will be here.
Between the end of classes and the beginning of the party, the venue will be securely locked. You are welcome to leave things there at your own risk.

Some classes with take place in Space Six which is just round the corner.
Space Six is a wonderful community interest company on the sixth floor of Commercial Union House (opposite Tyneside Cinema). Externally it looks like an office block but inside you will find a beautiful studio.

The venues can get cold, so make sure you have warm layers with you.
The Friday party starts at 7pm and ends at 2am.
The daytime venue opens at 12:30pm.
Classes run on Saturday and Sunday afternoon between 1pm and 5pm.
Please arrive with enough time so you are ready to start classes at 1pm.
Restaurants are booked for 5:30, and we can all walk together after class to the restaurants. (Kommunity will be closed during this time.)
The Saturday party starts at 8pm and ends at 2am.
The Sunday party starts at 8pm and ends at Midnight.
On Saturday we are all eating together at 5:30pm at Red Mezze.

Red Mezze are offering the 3 course early bird special Menu (£10). They will bring out a selection of all the cold mezze for people to share, followed by a main course which you will have pre-ordered. We will have a list of your orders.
Red Mezze have said that anyone with a gluten allergy can bring their own bread.
On Sunday we have booked out the Earl of Pitt Street at 5:30 just for us, and you can select one course (£10), two courses (£14) or three courses (£16). We will have a list of your orders.

The restaurants are a 10-15 minute walk from Kommunity.
If you are coming by train, the venue is a 15 minute walk from the Newcastle Central
train station.
The nearest metro is Monument. Both venues are served by most bus lines.
There are limited parking spaces close to Kommunity. During the evenings most parking is free but during Saturday, you’ll have to pay.
Here are some options:
There’s some parking at Carliol square, NE1 6UN at £1 per hour.
Saville Place, NE1 8DQ, Mon-Sat 0800 – 1800 £1.50 per hour, Sun 0800 – 1800, Flat Rate £3.00. Free outside these hours
There’s a council multi-storey at Oxford Street, NE1 8AN, which cost £1.30 per hour 8:00-17:00 Mon-Sat, £3 per day on Sunday and free outside these hours but it closes at midnight.
The Friday and Saturday night parties finish at 2am. If you want to get a taxi in
advance you could try LA Taxis on 0191 287 7777.
This year classes at BAB have been split by ability, based on how you rated yourself during registration. The 3 groups are:
Memphis Minnies (rated yourself 1-2)
Howlin’ Wolves (rated yourself 3-4)
Muddy Waters (rated yourself 5)
You will receive an email letting you know which group you are in.

We’ll make sure there is plenty of water will be available during the workshops. There will be a limited tuck shop at Kommunity. If you think you’ll need it, we recommend that you bring a packed lunch.
Straight after classes there’s a chance to sit down for a meal together. The venue
will be closed during this time.
